Hang Nguyen is a San Francisco–based painter. For the past decade, she has exhibited in solo and group shows nationwide.

In painting, Hang aims to respond to the world around her and to present this world in a different perspective. In the "Interstitial" series, she contemplates the dynamic and space between entities. How do discrete units gravitate to and repel each other? What is the relationship between them? What happens between these spaces? These paintings were loosely inspired by Hang’s work as a full-time scientific editor, and reading about cells and disease.

Hang has a degree in Art (Painting/Drawing) from Stanford University, where she received the Raina Giese Award for Creative Painting. In addition to being held in private collections throughout the US, her work can be seen in public installations in California.
