For me, each painting is a journey of discovery. I loosen the rational restrictions of the everyday world and let free associations guide my instinct. Through this process I find enlightenment in the connections of the universe that were previously hidden, just outside of my normal perception. The final expression of a finished painting contains the evidence of this mental and physical expedition. My goal is to have a visual reminder of the personal secrets that I have uncovered and to share it with the world.

My method is to let the painting eventually show me what it is that I am looking for. The theme or meaning is often unknown at the beginning and comes into focus at some time during the production of a painting. I use techniques that I have learned from my study of art, especially surrealism and abstract expressionism. My background in fine art, painting, and custom finishing allows me to experiment with mixing paint and other mediums with confidence.

My current work is an ongoing process of finding new meaningful connections in the natural and supernatural world, connections between the conscious and subconscious that produce a mysterious and beautiful brew of images and symbols.
