These paintings began through an experimentation with the pouring of acrylic paint, developed with my own formula of diluted acrylic paint and acrylic polymer mediums. In this series, I am motivated by the discovery of random and often unpredictable outcomes attributed to allowing the paint itself to participate in the creative process.
But however random the outcome of the paint may be, everything about each piece is calculated and highly scrutinized. My approach towards painting is logical and analytical. Each piece is composed and generated, balancing each compositional element with another to create visual harmony. My goal is to perfect a formula for beauty with each piece as the variable."
