ABOUT BENNY COKEMEN

Benny Cokemen is a filmmaker/painter. Born in the Bay Area, California in 1986, raised in Decatur, GA, Benny Cokemen strives to manipulate the fundamental properties of media to create a whimsically comic reality. In 2006, Benny studied french, film, and modern art at the University of Paris IV - La Sorbonne. in 2008, Benny completed a B.A. in Film & Video from Georgia State University. In addition to local Atlanta narrative productions, Benny is currently working at his alma mater towards an M.A. in Digital Imaging. Influenced by artists of similar expression in various forms of media, Benny works with digital video, acrylic, gesso, and plastics. Benny Cokemen's work has appeared at The MINT Gallery, Eyedrum Art Gallery, Wonderroot Television, The Salonoffon Multimedia Art Exhibitions, Campus Movie Festival, and the Decatur Film Festival.
