The influences guiding my art are Nature, and my fascinations with the printed word and foreign cultures. Nature is a constant source of wonder to me. It will always be my best teacher. Having spent most of my professional life in journalism and advertising, the printed word in any language also captures my attention. Recently it has become an important feature in many of my works. As a citizen of the natural and man-made worlds, I strive to bring the best of these influences to my art.
